Apple has always been known to be the company that is producing items that are ahead of its competition, and this is one of the reasons why so many people turn to the brand when they are in the need of a new computer or other electronic device. Though the Mac Mini is a computer, there are many cases of people using this as a home theater option. It is actually classified as a small home theater PC with a few aspects that the computer cannot accomplish. The older models are only going to fit a few televisions, while the new models are going to be more compatible with the television that most people have in their homes.

There has been many other companies that come out with something similar to the Mac Mini, though the real pioneer of the mini desktop is Apple. Those that used these were often already using a Mac computer and simply wanted something smaller. Though the Mac Mini would not be a good option for businesses since the computer does not have the memory to deal with the data that these businesses are going to be using. For those that want something for Internet surfing and as a home theater option, then the Mac Mini is something that they should consider.
